About this Trail
You don’t have to venture far to get and up close and personal view of how extraordinary Waterton Lakes National Park truly is. One of the park’s most celebrated and photographed landmarks is found right in town.
Cameron Falls is a highlight of a Waterton visit. Crystal clear cascading mountain water rushes steadily over 1.5 billion year-old Cambrian rock, throwing off a delicate mist that dusts the skin of those who stand around admiring it. You can venture up an easy paved pathway to the right of the falls to get a different perspective and snap album-worthy photos of this one of a kind wonder.
Cameron Falls is the ending point to one of Waterton’s popular hiking trails – a 19 kilometer one-way trek from Cameron Lake back to Waterton village.
