Things to do in Pincher Creek

Pincher Creek is often considered the 'hub of southwest Alberta" due to its vantage point and central access to all experiences in the region. It often serves as a ski base for Castle Ski Resort, Pass Powderkeg, Waterton and Beauvais Lake.

Inside the townsite, you will still find plenty of local boutique shops and several culinary options to satisfy any craving. Some of the region's guiding experiences are also located here, which includes snoeshowing, crossing country skiing and some moonlight tours within the region.

Kootenai Brown Museum
A wonderful mid-week hidden gem! Located along the creek that gives Pincher Creek its name, the Kootenai Brown Pioneer Village is open Monday to Friday during the winter months. In Pioneer Place, you will find a Visitor Information Centre, an extensive archives and The Country Store which carries local and Canadian products, country and vintage themes items and an impressive local book section. The Museum Village sits on six acres with 26 authentic historical buildings full of over 25,000 artifacts which gives an up-close and personal experience of our area's history.

Take a journey back in time with the CPR caboose, a wondrous garage right out of the 1940's, and Waldron Ranch House where all the ranch hands would have once been housed. Step back in time at Kootenai Brown Village.

Pincher Creek Swimming Pool
The Pincher Creek Swimming Pool is a modern indoor facility that features a new water slide, climbing wall! Offering a large 6 lane swimming pool, a toddler wading pool, and a hot tub. Professional guides will take you out exploring Waterton Lakes National Park, Castle Parks, and Crowsnest Pass.
On Friday nights, we do a night snowshoe around Crowsnest Pass. On Saturday nights, we have a family and friends event near Castle Mountain Resort. This includes a moonlit snowshoe and will return to enjoy the night with fireside treats.
