Rowe Lake Trail is a moderate day hike that leads to the beautiful water bodies known as the Upper Rowe Lakes. The trail cuts through dense wilderness along the banks of crystal clear Rowe Creek before connecting to the first of the two lakes at various points on the path.

You’ll reach the first lake after hiking about 4 km at an elevation gain of around 350 meters (1,148 feet.) The trail distance to the upper lake is 6.5 km with an elevation gain of 575 meters (1,886 feet.)

Rowe Lakes Trail offers great scenery and diverse topography on easy trail, as well as outstanding views of Mount Lineham and Mount Rowe along the way. Arriving at each lake is an experience unto itself. Shimmering and transcendent in their beauty, each of the Rowe Lakes is an inspiring and soul affirming stop in the day – so magnificent that the term “postcard perfect” comes to mind when you lay eyes on them.

Just did this hike last weekend, however was unable to get up to upper Rowe because of snow. The meadow is just coming to life, making this truly a very beautiful day hike. If your going soon...pack your snowshoes!!
