Rocky Mountain Guest House is a family-friendly vacation home in Mountain View, Alberta, on highway 5, just a short 20-minute drive from beautiful Waterton Lakes National Park. One issure to create many wonderful and treasured vacation memories here. We have been welcoming guests since February 2018 and have over 40 years of experience in the hospitality and retail industry. Our valued guests enjoy discount coupons to our other family owned business: Caribou Clothes in Waterton and Mountain View. The Rocky Mountain Guest House was originally built on a two-acre lot by Ross and Lorna Uibel in 1978 where they raised their family of 6 children for 22 years. They sold their home after the kids were grown, but bought it back in 2017. It is an amazing 5,800 sq. ft. home with split levels and unique post-and-beam construction with 15-ft ceilings, making the rooms very open and spacious. All of the walls on the inside were freshly painted in 2018 and we are currently working on painting the outside and repairing the yard. These projects should be completed by July 2018. Sleeping accommodations include 6 bedrooms with 8 queen beds. We allow a maximum of 20 people with an extra charge per person for more than 16 people. (The extra people will have to bring their own bedding and mattresses.) When making the reservation there is a one-night deposit taken at the time of the reservation with the balance due when checking in. There is a minimum of 3 nights stay. When the Guest House is not being rented to large family groups,individual rooms can be reserved. For more information, please contact our host and manager, Jan Creason at (403) 332-3866 or [email protected] spacious kitchen has all new appliances and is complete with new dishes, silverware,cookware, microwave, electric stove, refrigerator, dishwasher,built-in oven, and a central island with 4 bar stools. The dining room is open to the kitchen and has a beautiful large oak table that seats 10 people with a large balcony off the dining room that includes a barbeque,table and chairs, along with a beautiful view of the majestic mountains nearby. Just a few steps up from the kitchen is a living room that boasts a towering fireplace, couches and coffee tables. The south-west wall has numerous large windows that frame a beautiful view of the Canadian Rockies. The lower walk-out level includes a cozy family room with a sunken fireplace, as well as a solarium with exercise equipment, lounge chairs and French doors leading to the ½ acre backyard. The 800 sq. ft. game room provides endless entertainment including satellite TV, DVD player, several DVDs, board games, puzzles, ping-pong, air hockey and foosball tables. A washing machine, dryer and additional refrigerator are available for guest use. There is free high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the house. Outside there is a spacious grassy area for playing games as well as a large fire pit to gather around with friends and family. The lot is sheltered and private.

There are many tourist attractions within an hour’s drive from the Guest House: Head Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, Remington Carriage Museum (the largest of its kind in North America), Alberta LDS Temple, Lundbrick Falls, Frank Slide and Glacier National Park. In Cardston (16 miles) there is a movie theatre which also offers summer live theatre for those who enjoy acting and singing. The Waterton townsite is timelessly beautiful and undamaged by the Kenow forest fire of September, 2017. Businesses in Waterton Park offer rentals for paddleboards, kayaks, mountain bikes and surrey bikes. Shopping for unique gifts, dining at a wide variety of restaurants with delicious menus and exploring the local habit at and wildlife will keep you busy and entertained. There is also a beautiful 18-hole golf course and horse stables where you can go on a trail ride and explore the wilder side of Waterton, which may include a bear sighting, as well as elk, deer, red fox, moose, and the like. The vintage opera house plays the latest movies and often has live entertainment. And last but not least, there is a wonderful playground with a variety of options including a water spray park which is a blast for the little ones.

A full lodge booking is $650 per night plus taxes (9%). Minimum 2 night stay.
