Beginning in 1969, Dee and Lorna Barrus, along with their children built Alpine Stables from the ground up. Since that time the Barrus family has grown- now into the 5th generation. Many friends and family members have shared both the work and the splendor of riding in the mountains. Sadly, the Kenow in 2017 destroyed all the original barns and houses. However, the Barrus family carried on. Alpine Stables is proud to be celebrating 55 years of making memories on horseback in Waterton and looking forward to this new chapter.
Alpine Stables- (Guided Horseback Riding)
While working at the Stables in the summer, all five generations share a house and live together!
