Cameron Lakeshore (CLOSED due to construction)
Type of Hike
- Short Hike
- Easy Hike
Offering amazing views and great fishing and photography opportunities as you wind your way along forested pathways.
This short walk around part of Cameron Lake will give you a better glimpse down to the end of the lake, where Grizzly Bears are frequently spotted. Cameron Lake is known for receiving the highest average annual precipitation levels for all of Alberta. Three borders imperceptibly converge at the lake’s southern end (Alberta’s, British Columbia’s and Montana’s) and the view looking south is nothing short of breathtaking. Emerald coloured water reaches far into the distance toward the backdrop of Mount Custer, which in turn is majestically reflected in water’s mirror-like surface.
